Greetings Fellow Humans,
We’ll keep it short today, because we know you’re just as busy as we are thinking about how it’s only Wednesday (how can the months move so fast but the weekdays so SLOW?). Anyway, we just want to take a moment to say thanks for reading and to give you a sneak peak of what next month will look like. March is all about women for International Women’s Day, so be prepared to fall in love with female-founded brands.
Sometimes we want to keep you guessing with the Newsletter, but we won’t leave you hanging like that… this time. This week we’re presenting some of our newest products, including this one for plant parents (scroll for more). We’re also talking about what we’re bingeing on TV, and how we found something better than Wordle.
Hopefully, this will be a better companion than realizing its almost the third month of 2022✨ See you in your inbox every Wednesday.

Diving Deep: Something you didn’t know about our Content Marketing Manager, Jordan
What does ‘shopping by value’ mean to you?
Jo: It means shopping from brands that are run by people who have the same priorities as me- inclusivity being at the top of that list for me. It means using my dollar to support businesses that invite new people to the table rather than pushing those people away and perpetuating the status quo.
What do you do that is consciously cool?
Jo: I use a food delivery service that uses mainly recycled materials for packaging and salvages food scraps that would otherwise go to waste- they repurpose them into something cool and delicious. I get a box almost every week – they also clean and reuse the shipping materials from the deliveries every week!
What do you do that is imperfect in regards to sustainability?
Jo: I’ve always loved fashion, and as a plus size person, it can be hard to find affordable, accessible, ethical/sustainable, trendy clothing in my size. It’s a HUGE issue for people in larger bodies. So, I definitely am guilty of purchasing clothes from wherever I can find something that will fit me and fit my aesthetic- and those are not always conscious brands. Inclusive styles need to be more accessible, and this is part of what we’re trying to do at The Verticale. In the meantime, I incorporate consciousness and thoughtful consumerism into other aspects of my life.
What is your favorite Verticale product and why?
Jo: My favorite Verticale product (brand, really) is anything by Nomads Swimwear. It’s the brand that I feel most closely connected to because they make sexy, high-quality swimsuits for EVERYONE. Like I said above- it’s almost impossible to find brands like this so huge huge kudos to them.
